Samsung Galaxy A71, the newest model under the smartphone maker’s Galaxy A series, has been unveiled in Vietnam. The key features on the smartphone include Infinity-O Display design, fast charging support, and quad rear camera setup, among others. It is to be noted that Samsung Galaxy A71 debuts as the descendant of the Galaxy A70. On the competition front, Samsung Galaxy A71 is up against Redmi K30. Samsung Galaxy A71
Samsung Galaxy A71 features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display. It supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and runs Android 10 with One UI 2.0 on top. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core SoC, paired with 6GB and 8GB RAM options.
On the imaging front, Samsung Galaxy A71 comes equipped with the quad rear camera setup that houses a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens. The camera setup further sports a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 lens. Samsung Galaxy A71 has 128GB of internal storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB).
Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C port. The smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. The smartphone will be made available in Prism Crush Black, White, Blue, and Pink colour variants and it will be offered in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with 128GB onboard storage. It is worth mentioning here that the smartphone maker is yet to announce the price and availability details of Samsung Galaxy A71.

Redmi K30
Redmi K30 features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) hole-punch display with 20:9 aspect ratio, 91 percent screen-to-body ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) slots, and runs on MIUI 11 based on Android 10. Redmi K305G variant is powered by the 7nm Snapdragon 765G SoC, whereas the 4G model is powered by the Snapdragon 730G processor. Internal storage is said to be offered in 64GB, 128GB and 256B options. Interestingly, both the smartphones support a hybrid microSD card slot (up to 256GB) for further storage expansion.
On the imaging front, Redmi K30 sports a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor as the main rear camera with f/1.89 aperture, 1/1.7-inch sensor, and 6P lens. The primary camera is assisted by a 5-megapixel macro lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an 8 -megapixel 120-degree wide-angle sensor as well. Notably, on the 4G variant, the 5-megapixel macro camera is replaced by the 2-megapixel camera. On the front, Redmi K30 4G and Redmi K30 5G come equipped with a dual selfie camera setup with a 20-megapixel main front sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for better portraits.
Redmi K30 5G packs a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. However, the 4G variant supports 27W fast charging technology. Connectivity features on the 5G variant include dual-band 4G/5G support (SA/NSA), and integration of 5G Multilink and 5G Smart features. 5G Smart intelligently adjusts the network to ensure lower power management while maintaining strong performance. Other connectivity options on both the phones include NFC, 5G GPS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack support. The smartphones further support Hi-Res Audio as well.
The price for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage option of Redmi K30 5G in China has been set at CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs 20,100). The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option of Redmi K30 5G has been set at CNY 2,599 (approx. Rs 26,100) while 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs CNY 2,599 (approx. Rs 26,100). The top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option of Redmi K30 5G costs CNY 2,899 (approx. Rs 29,100). Redmi K30 5G comes in Deep Sea Light, Time Monologue, Flower Shadow, Purple Jade Fantasy colour options. The smartphone has been listed on Mi.com and JD.com, and is up for pre-sale already.

The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option of Redmi K30 4G has been set at CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs 17,100) while 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs CNY 1,899 (approx. Rs 19,100). The top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option of Redmi K30 4G costs CNY 2,199 (approx. Rs 22,100). Redmi K30 4G variant comes only in Deep Sea Light, Flower Shadow, and Purple Jade Fantasy colour options.
