The tech giant Samsung finally launched the premium smartphone named as ‘Galaxy A80’ in India. The key features of Samsung Galaxy A80 include a rotating camera, a bezel-less display experience, full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC and a 3,700mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy A80: Specifications & Features
Samsung Galaxy A80 features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Super AMOLED 'New Infinity Display' with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It further houses an in-display fingerprint sensor.The smartphone has a dual-SIM (Nano) and runs Android Pie with One UI on top. Also, there us ab octa-core Snapdragon 730G SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM.
On the imagining front, Samsung Galaxy A80 comes equipped with a rotating camera setup that includes the 48-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, the camera setup of the Galaxy A80 slides up and rotates once selected the selfie mode.
The device comes with a 128GB of onboard storage. However, it is not expandable as there is no dedicated slot for microSD card. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. The newly-launched smartphone packs a 3,700mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. The phone will come with Angel Gold, Ghost White and Phantom Black colour options.
Samsung Galaxy A80: Price & Launch offers
There is only one variant of Samsung Galaxy A80 i.e. 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and it costs Rs 47,990. The newly-launched phone will be available for pre-booking in the country from July 22 to July 31. The customers who will be able to book the phone during the period, can avail a one-time screen replacement for free. Samsung is also offering a 5 per cent cashback for customers purchasing the Galaxy A80 using Citibank credit cards.
It is to be noted that the Samsung Galaxy A80 will go on sale for the Indian customers from August 1 onwards via all major mobile retail stores including major mobile retail stores, Samsung India online store, Samsung Opera House, and all major leading online channels in India.
In the Indian market, Samsung Galaxy A80 will compete against Nokia 9 PureView, OnePlus 7 Pro and Oppo Reno 10x Zoom. It is worth mentioning here that the Samsung Galaxy A80 was unveiled back in April with a global price tag of EUR 649 (approx. Rs 50,300).
