Samsung Galaxy M21 has recently gone on open sale in India via the company’s stores, select retail stores, and Amazon. The key features on Samsung Galaxy M21 include Infinity-U Super AMOLED display, triple rear camera setup, and a massive 6,000mAh battery, among others. On the competition front in India, Samsung’s mid-budget smartphone is up against the Redmi Note 9 Pro. The key features on Redmi Note 9 Pro include full-HD+ IPS display, quad rear camera setup, and 5,020mAh battery, among others. Samsung Galaxy M21

Samsung Galaxy M21 sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and runs Android 10 with One UI 2.0 on top. Samsung Galaxy M21 is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9611 SoC, coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It offers internal storage up to 128GB which can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD card.

On the imaging front, Samsung Galaxy M21 comes equipped with the triple rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel primary shooter. The primary camera is assisted with an 8-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 20-megapixel selfie camera. According to a report of NDTV’s Gadgets 360, the selfie camera is assisted by artificial intelligence (AI) based features. Also, the selfie camera supports a preloaded Face Unlock option.

Connectivity options on Samsung's newly-launched phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also has a fingerprint sensor at the back. The device further has an accelerometer, ambient light, gyro, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. Samsung Galaxy M21 packs a 6,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.

The price for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model of Samsung Galaxy M21 in India has been set at Rs 13,499. On the other hand, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of Samsung Galaxy M21 costs Rs 15,499. The smartphone comes in Midnight Blue and Raven Black colour options.

Redmi Note 9 Pro

Redmi Note 9 Pro features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) IPS display that has a 20:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology. The device runs on Android 10 and has the latest MIUI version atop.

Importantly, Redmi Note 9 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, coupled with Adreno 618 GPU. The smartphone offers up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and has an internal storage of up to 128GB.

On the imaging front, the smartphone comes equipped with a quad rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel primary sensor. The primary camera is assisted by an 8-megapixel secondary ultra-wide shooter and 5-megapixel tertiary sensor. Also, it has a 2-megapixel quaternary sensor for depth sensing. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera based on artificial intelligence (AI). The device packs a 5,020mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

The price for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of Redmi Note 9 Pro in India has been set at Rs 12,999. On the other hand, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option of Redmi Note 9 Pro costs Rs 15,999. The smartphone will be made available in Black, Glacier White, and Aurora Blue.
