Recently, Counterpoint Research said that OnePlus has captured it’s highest-ever shipment share of 43 per cent in the second quarter (Q2) to become the leader in the premium segment (in the price segment of Rs 30,000 and above) in India. Whereas, Samsung went down to the second position in the overall premium segment with 22 per cent share. The volume of Samsung declined by 16 per cent. Samsung on Thursday launched the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus (Galaxy Note 10+) at a global event in New York. Back in May 2019, OnePlus 7 along with the OnePlus 7 Pro was launched in India. It is to be noted that OnePlus has been dominating the value flagship space for the last three years and the Chinese smartphone maker continues to do so. Samsung Galaxy Note 10
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 sports a 2280x1080 pixels 401ppi display. The phone will be available in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage LTE variant. There's no microSD card slot on the Galaxy Note 10. South Korea will get a 5G variant which will pack 12GB of RAM.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 runs Android 9.0 Pie with the company's One UI on top. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 measures 151x71.8x7.9mm and weighs 168 grams.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will be equipped with a triple rear camera setup. The device sports a 12-megapixel wide-angle primary sensor. Also, there is a 16-megapixel sensor and 12-megapixel shooter at the back. On the front, the device house a 10-megapixel sensor with autofocus, an f/2.2 aperture, and a 80-degree field of view.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity sensor, RBG light sensor and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor onboard.
Connectivity options on the two phones include 4G (LTE Cat. 20), Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, MST, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The all-new S Pen features a 6-axis sensor with a gyroscope and acceleration sensor.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will be available in Red, Pink, Auro Glow, Aura White and Aura Black colours. It packs a 3,500mAh battery.
The sale of Samsung Galaxy Note 10 in India will commence from August 23.
OnePlus 7 Pro
OnePlus 7 pro gets a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED screen with curved edges, Quad-HD+ (3120x1440 pixels) resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate and also HDR10+ support.
The OnePlus 7 Pro also gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm chipset running on eight Kryo cores.
OnePlus 7 Pro comes in three variants - 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM+256GB storage and 12GB RAM+256GB storage.
The battery capacity of the phone has been bumped to 3700mAh to 4000mAh with Warp Charge. The phone also gets dual-speakers with 3D sound helped by Dolby Atmos.
On the imagining front, OnePlus 7 Pro gets a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera on the front. It has a triple-lens rear camera comprising a 48MP (f/1.7) primary sensor with OIS, joined by a 16MP (f/2.2) wide-angle lens with 117-degree field-of-view. The cameras also get PDAF, AI detection and laser autofocus.
OnePlus 7 Pro starts at Rs 48,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant, and Rs 52,999 for the 8GB+256GB model. The premium 12GB+256GB variant of OnePlus 7 Pro is priced at Rs 57,999.
