Just be careful what message you send in Sarahah. As the app founder recently in an interview said that the identity of a sender may be revealed if required.
Sarahah is an app which allows a person to send a message without revealing the identity. The anonymous message sender has gained popularity in the social networking arena within few days of its release.
ZainAlabdin Tawfiq, Sarahah app founder in an interview to India Today group said, “Yes it will. But, that’s only under certain situations.”
Aditi, a Sarahah user, on learning that the app may reveal identity of users said, “This is cheating. I have made the confessions which I would had never done in real life.”
The Sarahha founder added that anyone misusing the platform to cyberbully others will face strict action.
“If users are using it for fun and casual confession can continue to use the app with no fear,” said Tawfiq.
He also told the media group that Sarahah has been designed with strict privacy policy and promises to keep all data confidential.
The app founder added, “If sender violates the rules and regulation of the app, or some other similar incident then only we may be forced to reveal the details of the sender.”
According to claims of Sarahah the app has 10 million downloads in two months.
