October was high on smartphone launches. Many smartphones have done well as expected by the companies. And they did generate a lot of hype. Dozens of smartphones announced in October embraced the display cut-out in one form or another - wide, deep and waterdrop. Smartphones launched had immersive viewing experience and came with an aspected ratio close to 19:5. So, as we look forward to the month of November, here's a look back at the top five smartphones launched in October.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 - Price: Rs 35,000
Xiaomi launched its new flagship Mi Mix 3 in China. The smartphone has the latest 5G capabilities. Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 also has the dual rear and front cameras. The smartphone will be available for buyers in the first quarter of 2019, according the Xiaomi.

As a successor to the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, the new Pixel 3 models are expected to run Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box and will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC. The phones are feature identical hardware setups: Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB and 128GB flash memory configurations.

Nokia 7.1 Plus - Price: Rs 30,000 approximately
Nokia 7.1 includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and FM radio connectivity options, according to reports.
Nokia 7.1 Plus sports a 5.84-inch full-HD (720x1280 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and is expected to be protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass. The dual-SIM Nokia 7.1 runs stock Android based on Google’s Android One programme and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone is equipped with 32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).
Nokia 7.1 packs a 3,400 mAh battery.
On the camera front, Nokia 7.1 is speculated to come with dual camera setup at the back with a 12-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies.
Nokia 7.1 Plus sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope, according to reports.
OnePlus 6T - Price: Rs 38,000
The latest addition to OnePlus phones brings with it in-screen fingerprint technology. This technology lets you unlock the phone by just tapping on the screen. The waterdrop/teardrop notch will cover just the front camera on the screen. It can also be seen on other phones like Realme 2 Pro and Vivo 11 Pro. The phone is expected to arrive with a slimmer form factor as well.
OnePlus 6T will be dual-SIM (Nano) with OxygenOS-based on Android 9.0 Pie. The smartphone will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor along with a larger 3,700mAh battery.
Honor 8X - Price: Rs 14,500
Honor 8X sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display that carries a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and is powered by the powerful 12nm Kirin 710 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU.
The smartphone packs a 3,750 mAh battery.
On the camera front, Honor 8X is speculated to come with 20MP shooter on the rear side which comes paired with a 2MP secondary depth sensor. For selfies, the smartphone has a 16MP camera with HDR mode.
The Honor 8X comes with rear-facing fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature.
