Smartphones including Realme XT, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi K20, Vivo S1, and Samsung Galaxy A50s are direct competitors to each other under the sub-Rs 20,000 category.

Best smartphones under Rs 20,000 in November 2019

Realme XT

Realme XT sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Super AMOLED screen with a waterdrop-style notch up front and 550nits brightness. It also features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and the back. The smartphone runs on ColorOS 6.0 based on Android Pie. Realme XT is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage.

On the imaging front, Realme XT comes equipped with a quad-camera setup at the rear that includes a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The smartphone also has an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone has a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

Realme XT packs a 4,000mAh battery with support of 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging. Realme XT has a USB Type-C port at the bottom along with a 3.5mm audio jack and a loudspeaker. The smartphone is available in Pearl Blue and Pearl White colour options.

Redmi Note 8 Pro

Redmi Note 8 Pro sports a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, waterdrop-style notch and Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back. The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi Note 8 Pro runs on MIUI 10, based on Android 9 Pie. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek's new gaming focussed Helio G90T SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM.

The phone comes with liquid cooling support for the enhanced gaming experience. There are also features such as the Game Turbo 2.0 mode to please mobile gamers. On the imaging front, Redmi Note 8 Pro sports four cameras at the back. It is the first smartphone to have a 64-megapixel main camera. While its 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option costs Rs 15,999, the top-of-the-line 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model carries a price tag of Rs 17,999. The smartphone comes in Gamma Green, Halo White, and Shadow Black colour options.

Redmi K20

Redmi K20 comes with a 6.39-inch Full HD display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio with no notch present on the screen. The Redmi K20 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730.

Redmi K20 is equipped with a triple camera setup at the back with one being a 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor coupled with 13 MP and 8 MP camera lens. For selfies, the smartphones will have a 20 MP pop-out camera with AI technology. The Redmi K20 is fuelled by a 4000mAh battery with fast-charging technology.

Vivo S1 features a 6.38-inch full-HD + Super AMOLED capacitive multi-touch display with a waterdrop-style notch. It runs Funtouch OS 9 based on Android Pie. Under the hood, the smartphone has an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 MT6768 SoC paired with 4GB and 6GB of RAM options. Vivo S1 comes with 64GB and 128GB of onboard storage choices.

Vivo S1 comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.78 lens. The setup also includes an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. On the front, there is the 32-megapixel selfie camera that comes with an f/2.0 lens.

Samsung Galaxy A50s features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Infinity-U Super AMOLED display. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) and it runs on Android 9 Pie with One UI on top. Samsung Galaxy A50s is powered by octa-core Exynos 9611 SoC, based on the 10nm manufacturing process. The device packs up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot (up to 512GB).

On the imaging front, Samsung Galaxy A50s comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary shooter with f/2.0 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
