Vivo U10 - Vivo’s youth-centric smartphone, which has a dedicated Ultra Game Mode, has already gone official in India. The key features on the newly-launched smartphone include an HD+ Halo FullView Display panel, a waterdrop-style notch and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. In the Indian market, the newly-launched smartphone will be up against Redmi Y3. Therefore, News Nation brings to you the comparison between Vivo U10 and Redmi Y3 on the basis of their specifications, features and prices. 

Vivo U10 

Vivo U10 sports a 6.35-inch HD+ (720x1544 pixels) IPS Halo FullView Display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 89 per cent screen-to-body ratio.  

The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and it runs Android 9 Pie with Funtouch OS 9.1 on top. Vivo U10 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 AIE SoC, paired with up to 4GB of RAM.  

On the imaging front, Vivo U10 comes equipped with the triple rear camera setup that houses a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with a 120-degree super-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, and a 2-megapixel portrait sensor with an f/2.4 lens. Also, there is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies on the front.  

Vivo U10 comes with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage options. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB port.  

It also has an accelerometer, ambient light, fingerprint sensor, magnetometer and a proximity sensor. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology. The device measures 159.43x76.77x8.92mm and it weighs 190.5 grams. 

The price of 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant of Vivo U10 in India has been set at Rs 8,990. On the other hand, the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage option of Vivo U10 costs 9,990, while the top-of-the-line 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration is priced at Rs 10,990.  

The smartphone will go on sale starting September 29, 2019 and it will be made available in Electric Blue and Thunder Black colour options. 

Redmi Y3 

The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi Y3 runs Android Pie with MIUI 10 on top and sports a 6.26-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. 

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC and is paired with 3GB and 4GB RAM options. 

On the optics front, the smartphone comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a 2-megapixel secondary depth-sensing sensor. The phone has a 32-megapixel sensor at the front.

The Redmi Y3 comes with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage options that both are expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB) with a dedicated slot.

The phone is equipped with 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an IR blaster and rear fingerprint sensor. It packs a powerful 4,000mAh battery.

As far as the pricing of the Y3 is concerned, the price for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model in India has been set at Rs 9,999. Its 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option is priced at Rs 11,999. Both variants come in Bold Red, Elegant Blue, and Prime Black colour options. The smartphone is already available for sale.
