Vivo has launched yet another mid-range smartphone under Z series in China and the device is named as Z5. The key features of Vivo Z5 include a waterdrop-style notch design, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 712 SoC along with up to 8GB of RAM and Super Night View 2.0+ to boost low-light camera quality.
Vivo Z5: Specifications
Vivo Z5 features a 6.38-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The device, which comes equipped with dual-SIM (Nano), runs Funtouch OS 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie. It has an octa-core Snapdragon 712 SoC, coupled with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in three different colour options including Aurora Illusion, Bamboo Forest Night and Holographic Illusion.
On the imagining front, Vivo Z5 houses a triple rear camera setup which includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens. The camera setup also has an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with a wide-angle f/2.2 lens and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel camera for selfies.
The device measures 159.53x75.23x8.13mm and it weighs 187 grams. It has 64GB and 128GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and Micro-USB with OTG support. Also, there is an in-display fingerprint sensor. Other sensors on the smartphone include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and magnetometer and proximity sensor. It comes packed with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 22.5W Flash Charge fast charging technology.
Vivo Z5: Price
The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of Vivo Z5 costs CNY 1,598 (approx. Rs 16,000), the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,898 (approx. Rs 19,000) and the 6GB RAM + 256GB storage option retail at CNY 1,998 (approx. Rs 20,000). Also, there is an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant that costs CNY 2,298 (approx. Rs 23,000).
All the variants except the top-end 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option of Vivo Z5 is available for sale in China. The top-end 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will go on sale from August 6. However, there is no word on the availability of Vivo Z5 in India.
