Freeware and cross-platform messaging application WhatsApp’s group calling feature with both video and voice support has been rolled out finally. Discovered back in October 2017, the new feature was announced by Facebook-owned WhatsApp at its annual F8 conference in May 2018.

The feature is now available for everyone around the world on both Android and iOS and supports up to four people at a time. According to a study, WhatsApp users spend over 2 billion minutes on calls every day, meaning the group calling feature was highly anticipated.

Since 2016, video calling feature was limited to two users at the same time but now it will support up to four people, the company has announced.

The new feature is reportedly built to work smoothly in slow network conditions.

How to make a group call:

To start a group video or voice call, begin a call with a single person and then you will see a button at the top right corner that enables you to add another participant. And like this, you can add up to four people in a single call.

However, to experience the new feature, you need to download the latest update of the WhatsApp via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
