WhatsApp to get Picture-in-Picture mode and ‘Reply Privately’ feature
Instant messaging app, WhatsApp, has been in news recently for testing its new Business App. Now, it has come up again with some new features for its customers.
Reportedly, WhatsApp is planning to introduce Picture-in-Picture mode for video calling. Along with this, the app is planning to introduce ‘reply privately’ option in group chats.
Earlier this month, a feature called ‘Restricted Groups’ was added to the settings which help administrators to restrict group members from sending text messages, photographs, videos, GIFs, documents, or voice messages.
The WhatsApp team has submitted the new features in 0.2.7315 version of its Web client.
The Picture-in-Picture mode lets the users to watch videos in a separate pop-up screen that includes volume controls, play/pause controls, and timeline slider. A new icon for this has been made which enables the user to continue chat or any other work on the existing screen.

The Reply Privately option lets a user to send a personal reply to a group message on selecting it.
WhatsApp for iOS, Android and Windows Phone with beta versions have received features like Tap to Unblock, New invite via link shortcut, Shake to Report, and Admin Settings.
