Facebook owned messaging application WhatsApp currently is available for both smartphones and desktops. WhatsApp keeps rolling out new features for its smartphones users but there are still many features that are to be introduced for desktops.
As per a latest report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on improving the chat User Interface with the introduction of album and grouped stickers. Here is the gist about the upcoming features.
Albums – Smartphone users can send multiple images to a user on a chat by selecting it together in a single bubble. This helps in saving space on the screen and even makes it easy for the receiver to forward it in one go.
Grouped Stickers – It is an extension of the Album feature as it clubs together two stickers in a single row. Senders don’t have to do anything special for that as when they send two stickers they will simply be grouped together in a row.
According to WABetaInfo, “Grouped Stickers and Albums features are not available yet. WhatsApp is working on the feature in the last few days’’.
Recently, WhatsApp rolled out a feature where you will be able to unlock WhatsApp by using the fingerprint sensor on your Android device. It is worth mentioning here that the fingerprint lock feature is already available to iOS users.
Fingerprint lock feature in WhatsApp comes with the latest Android beta version 2.19.221. This means to get this feature activated on your smartphone, you need to have Android beta version 2.19.221. Importantly, this feature is now available in India. WABetaInfo spotted Fingerprint lock feature first.
According to WABetainfo, you need to update your WhatsApp to get the app if you do not see this feature. But this is true only if you have signed up and are using the WhatsApp Android beta app.
