Xiaomi’s ‘Flagship Killer 2.0’ i.e. Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro will be launched in India next month. Along with Redmi K20 series, the Xiaomi will launch several other products like a new pair of headphones, wireless earphones, fast charger, LED lamp, among others. Xiaomi has now confirmed that it will also be launching the Redmi 7A with the Redmi K20 series.
In an exclusive interview with India Today, Xiaomi India Head of Marketing Anuj Sharma confirmed that the Redmi 7A will launch in India very soon. He said, "Redmi 7A is indeed reaching the Indian shores in the near future."
Anuj Sharma further said that the Redmi 7A will either launch alongside the Redmi K20 series or a few days after the phones are launched. "The Redmi 7A could either be launched alongside the Redmi K20 series or within a few days of the event," India Today quoted Anuj Sharma as saying.
It is to be noted that the Redmi K20 series are expected to launch in India around the third week of July. Some media reports suggest that the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro will come to India possibly on July 15 or July 17.
Coming back to Redmi 7A, the smartphone is already available in some of the European markets and in China. Redmi 7A is currently available in two variants in China - 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant and 3GB RAM/32GB storage model. 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant of Redmi 7A costs 549 Yuan (roughly Rs 5,500) while 3GB RAM/32GB storage model is priced at 599 Yuan (roughly Rs 6,000) in China.
On the specifications front, Redmi 7A has a 5.4-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset paired with up to 3GB RAM and up to 32GB storage. The smartphone runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 4000mAh battery bundled with 10W charger.
On the optics front, the Redmi 7A is equipped with a single sensor on the front as well as on the back. On the rear panel, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel camera sensor while on the front the phone equips a 5-megapixel camera.
