Xiaomi launched two new Mi headphones, Mi Earphones and Mi Earphones Basic, starting at a price of Rs 399 in the Indian market on Tuesday. The company claims that these headphones have been specially designed while keeping the Indian strata in mind.
The Mi Earphones Basic cost Rs 399, while the Mi Earphones are priced at Rs 699.
The Mi Earphones Basic, as per the company, comes with ultra-low bass and customised just for India. “It includes a 3rd generation balanced damping system that enhances sound and air flow, producing vivid stereo effects and a transparent, well-balanced output,†read the description of the Mi Earphones Basic on the official website of Mi.
The Mi Earphones Basic come with an aluminium sound chamber which balances and gives a clear sound quality. The earphones are designed with extreme minuteness to give a good treble performance.

The company claims that the aluminium sound chamber is anodised for protections against corrosion, while going through zicon sand blasting to make it scratch and slip resistant.
The AUX jack of the earphones is bent at an angle of 45 degrees for a longer durability. The earbuds are made of high-quality silicon and come in three sizes, XS, S, and L to fit in most human ears. The anti-slip design of the earbuds prevents them from dropping out easily.
A play/pause button is provided on the earphones which help the listener to pause, play, answer, and hang up on calls easily. The Mi Earphones Basic are compatible with all Xiaomi smartphones, apart from being compatible with Android and iOS devices too.
The second launch was of the Mi Earphones which are priced at Rs 699. These earphones come with dynamic bass for a high-quality sound which is created in a 20-step process.
A breakthrough design of aerospace-grade metal composite layer is sandwiched between two PET layers for good treble response, while improving richness in the lower ranges, according to Xiaomi.
The same kind of improved 3rg generation balanced damping is designed to enhance the sound and air flow. The earphones, too, come with a wired remote and comes with three buttons to answer calls, playback music, and adjust the volume according to the listener.
The earbuds of the Mi Earphones come in three sizes, XS, S, and L. The audio jack is tilted at a 90 degree in L-shape for more durability of the earphones.
The Mi Earphones are compatible with all Xiaomi smartphones, including Android and iOS devices. However, the volume buttons are not compatible on the iOS devices.
