Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Monday announced the global launch of its first Android phone Mi A1 in India.
The smartphone will run on software designed by Google with OS upgrades and built in Google services.
The Mi A1 is priced at Rs 14,999 and will be available in three color variants – Black, Gold, and Rose Gold. For sale, the smartphone will be available on Flipkart and Mi.com from September 12 at 12 noon, as well as at Mi Home stores and offline retailers.
This is not the first time Xiaomi is working with Google, most notably the Mi Box Android TV set-top box that is sold in the US was also the combination of both companies.
Features of Xiaomi Mi A1
The Mi A1 sports 5.5-inch (13.9 cms) Full HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. The smartphone has Octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor up to 2.0 GHz and 14nm FinFET technology.
As far as memory is considered the smartphone has 4 GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage expandable with a microSD card. It has a battery of 3,080 mAh.
The smartphone has a 12 MP wide-angle + 12 MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom and 1.25μm pixel size, it also has 5 MP front camera.
