Xiaomi Mi CC 9, Mi CC 9e to be launched TODAY: Here’s all you need to know

Xiaomi will launch a new smartphone series called “Mi CC9” today at 4.30 pm (IST) in China. The first smartphones under the CC series will be Mi CC9, the Mi CC9e and Mi CC 9 Meitu Custom Edition. The phone maker has already given us first look of the Mi CC 9's gradient design and a few of its colour options. However, as of now, there are no words whether or not the Mi CC9 series will come to India.  

It is to be noted that the launch event will be streamed live on Xiaomi's Weibo channel as well as the company's official website.

Recently, the specifications of the Mi CC9 were disclosed by tipster Mukul Sharma. According to him, the Mi CC9 will be launched in multiple variants.

Mi CC9 will run on Android Pie-based MIUI 10 software. It will feature a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 730 SoC. The smartphone will pack a 4,000mAh battery as well with 27W fast charging support.

The Mi CC9 will come equipped with a triple rear camera setup. It will sport a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16-megapixel secondary lens, and a 12-megapixel third sensor. On the front, the Mi CC9 will have a 32-megapixel selfie sensor. The device further sports an in-screen fingerprint sensor, IR Blaster, USB Type-C port, and Hi-Res audio support as well.

Disclosing the price, Mukul Sharma said that the Mi CC9 6GB + 128GB will be priced at CNY 2,599 (approx Rs 26,200), the 8GB + 128GB variant will be priced at CNY 2,799 (approx Rs 28,200), and the 8GB + 256GB variant will be priced at CNY 3,099 (approx Rs 31,300).

The Xiaomi Mi CC 9e is rumoured to be priced at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs 16,100) for the base 6GB + 64GB variant, CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs 19,200) for the 6GB + 128GB model, and CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs 22,200) for the top-end 8GB + 128GB variant of the phone.

As for the Mi CC 9 Meitu Custom Edition, there is no information available on its pricing.

In the meantime, Xiaomi has confirmed that the smartphones will sport triple rear cameras. It further also confirmed that the Mi CC 9 will be available in White and Dark Blue Planet colours.
