The first flash sale of the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi 5A began at 12:00 pm on Thursday on Flipkart and mi.com. Just like the other sales of Mi smartphones, Redmi 5A too was instant to go out of stock.
While it was unannounced as to how many units were sold in this sale, the company announced that the sale will be back on December 14 again.
The next sale on December 14 will be conducted via Flipkart and mi.com only. The company had promised to make the smartphone available across all the Mi homes and major retail stores across the country. The phone is marketed as ‘desh ka smartphone’ and comes in a budget-friendly price.
Redmi 5A comes with a metallic matte finish and claims eight days of standby battery. The smartphone is available in two variants, 2GB+16GB which is priced at Rs 5,999 and 3GB+32GB variant which is priced at Rs 6,999.

XIAOMI Redmi 5A SPECIFICATIONS
The smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD screen with 720x1280 resolution. It features the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset clocked at 1.4GHx.
Available in budget-friendly price, Redmi 5A comes in two variants, one with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory and the other with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory.
On the camera front, Redmi 5A comes with a 13mp rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and HDR mode along with 5mp front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The smartphone carries a 3,000mAH battery and has connectivity like Bluetooth, WiFi, VoLTE, 3G and micro-USB. The smartphone has an Android 7.1 Nougat based on MIUI 9 skin out-of-the-box.
