Xiaomi smartphone with 18:9 display appears on TENAA, could be Redmi Note 5

There are rumours of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 to be launched soon as company’s smartphone with thin bezels and a display with 18:9 aspect ratio has been spotted on the Chinese certification site TENAA.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A

There are rumours of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 to be launched soon as company’s smartphone with thin bezels and a display with 18:9 aspect ratio has been spotted on the Chinese certification site TENAA.

Earlier in July, Redmi Note 5 was seen online, where the supposed specifications and plan of the smartphone was spilled.

The Redmi Note 5 is expected to have Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. It will come with a dual 16MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie-camera on the front.

The smartphone could sport a 5.5-inch full HD display and run on Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 OS. It will be backed by a 4000mAh battery.

Leaks indicated that there could be three variants of the phone- the Redmi Note 5 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, the Redmi Note 5 with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and lastly the Redmi Note 5 with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
