In a sensational case, a Delhi Police sub-inspector was shot dead outside Rohini metro station on Friday night. The victim has been identified as Preeti Ahlawat. The 26-year-old, who had joined the Delhi Police in 2018, was posted at Patparganj Industrial Area Police Station. News nation has learnt that she was allegedly gunned down by her colleague. Additional Commissioner of Police (Rohini) SD Mishra had said that three empty cartridges were found from the spot. The accused later committed suicide at his home in Haryana’s Sonipat. Sources say that initial probe revealed that it was Deepanshu who went to Delhi and killed Preeti in cold blood.
