6 terrorists killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district

As many as six terrorists were killed after an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Bijbehara area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday morning. Based on a credible input about the presence of terrorists, a cordon and search operation was launched jointly by Police and security forces at the onset of dawn today inside a jungle area of Sekipora at Bijbehara in District Anantnag. As the searches were going on, the search party was fired upon by the terrorists. The fire was retaliated leading to a gunfight.
