Ahead of Sabarimala opening, Section 144 imposed around Lord Ayyappa shrine

As the Lord Ayyappa temple is going to throw open Monday evening for a monthly puja, a thick security cover is in place in and around Sabarimala. The security has been deployed in view of last month’s protest following the Supreme Court order to permit women of menstrual age group to offer prayers at the shrine.
