Rapid Action Force was on Monday deployed near Shaheen Bagh area where a protest has been underway since December last year, against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). This comes after the third incident of firing in the Jamia Nagar area, when a bike-borne man fired a shot in the air near Jamia University's gate number 5 on Sunday around 11.30 pm. Shaheen Bagh shooter Kapil Gujjar had joined AAP in 2019, claimed Delhi Police's Crime Branch. Delhi Police has also recovered photos of Kapil Gujjar with several senior leaders of Aam Aadmi Party from his mobile phone. However, Aam Aadmi Party has denied any link with shooter Kapil Gujjar.
