Due to continuous rainfall, Bihar, UP and northeast states- Assam, Tripura and Meghalaya were flooded. Thousands of villages were washed away in floodwater. Bihar and Assam were reeling under massive crisis due to shortage of food and drinkable water. Out of 33 districts in Assam, 31 were hit by flood.
