Hyderabad twin bomb blast case: Two convicts awarded death sentence

National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on Monday sentenced Anique Syed and Akbar Ismail Choudhary to death for planting the bombs at Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat eatery at Koti which killed 43. Meanwhile, Tariq Anjum, the third convict, has been awarded life imprisonment. Earlier in the day, the court had found Tariq guilty of giving shelter to accused in New Delhi and several other places. Tariq was arrested in 2011 for allegedly providing shelter to the blast culprits, including Indian Mujahideen chief Riyaz Bhatkal and his brother Iqbal Bhatkal.
