Karnataka Verdict: Supreme Court directs floor test for Yeddyurappa government tomorrow

The battle for power in Karnataka is still not over. Although Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader BS Yeddyurappa on Thursday took oath as the 23rd chief minister of the southern, the Congress is unrelenting and leaving no stone unturned to thwart the BJP's attempt to rule the state. The fact that there is no clear majority has led the Congress to reach out to the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) to form the government in Karnataka. Amidst these high-octane political dramas, the Supreme Court on Friday pronounced verdict on Congress's petition, challenging Governor Vajubhai Vala's controversial invitation to Yeddyurappa to become the chief minister of Karnataka.
