Highest-ever jump of 16,922 cases, highest 3,890 cases in a day-Mumbai

India has recorded the highest single-day jump of nearly 17,000 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Delhi surpassed Mumbai's numbers on Wednesday. Maharashtra notched up 208 Covid-19 deaths, while recording a new high of 3,890 positive cases. The state death toll climbed to 6,739 and total cases shot up to 1.42 lakh. Mumbai alone saw 120 deaths.
