Nation View: SP secures staggering win in UP by-polls; is this a setback for BJP ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha polls?

Samajwadi Party secured a mammoth victory in the Gorakhpur and Phulpur Lok Sabha by-polls elections giving a major jolt to BJP ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The alliance of SP-BSP managed to halt the saffron wave in the state and also knock out BJP from UP CM' Yogi Adityanath's home constituency Gorakhpur. Adityanath has represented the seat in Lok Sabha for five consecutive terms.
