NIA puts former Pakistani diplomat on 'wanted' list

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday has named a former Pakistani diplomat in its 'wanted' list and released his photo, seeking information. In a first, Amir Zubair Siddique, who was a visa counsellor at the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lankan capital of Colombo, has been named by the NIA for plotting 26/11 type attacks in south India. The NIA has also named two other Pakistani officers for conspiring "to launch 26/11-type attacks on US and Israeli consulates besides Army and Navy commands in south India in 2014", according to media reports. A fourth Pakistani officer posted in the high commission in Sri Lanka was also involved in the conspiracy, the NIA said.
