Mukesh Singh, one of the four men sentenced to death in the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case, has filed a curative petition in the Supreme Court on Thursday. Mukesh is the second convict, after Vinay Kumar Sharma, to file a curative petition in the case. A curative petition is the last legal remedy available to a convict apart from mercy plea.
