The four death row convicts in the Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case are unlikely to be hanged on January 22. A Delhi court commented that it seemed impossible to execute the death warrant on January 22 in view of the pending mercy plea. It directed Tihar jail authorities to file a proper report by Friday about the status of the scheduled execution of convicts.
