Shiv Sena calls for ban on burqa in public places citing security risk

Shiv Sena demanded PM Modi to ban burqa across the country. In an article in its mouthpiece Saamana, the Shiv Sena asserted the government to follow the footsteps of Sri Lanka and ban the burqa in India. On April 28, Sri Lanka called to ban all facial coverings, citing the burqas to be a 'security risk and a flag of fundamentalism'.
