Why India is not holding a plebiscite in Kashmir, asks Kamal Haasan

Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan asked why the government was not holding a plebiscite in Kashmir and questioned what the government was 'afraid of'. While referring to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) as 'Azad Kashmir', Haasan said that if India wanted to prove that it is a 'better country', then it should 'not behave like this'. Hassan further added that, “Why do the soldiers die? Why should our home's watchman die? If politicians on both sides (in India & in Pakistan) behave properly, no soldier needs to die. The Line of Control will be under control.”
