Kashmiri voters’ ‘dance of democracy’ is best thing you will see

Jammu and Kashmir is receiving a moderate response from voters in the state. Jammu witnessed 14.12 % turnout till 9 am, while Kashmir Valley saw 11.43 voting percentage. Voters are seen dancing at a polling booth in Kashmir. The high-stake political battle to choose the 17th Lok Sabha began on Thursday with 91 constituencies going to polls in the first phase of voting. Other than Lok Sabha seats, voting for Assembly polls will also be held in Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and the first phase of Odisha. The polling will begin at 7 am and continue till 6 pm. Elaborate security arrangements have been made and lakhs of security personnel have been deployed to ensure free and fair polls.
