When Sri Lankan cricketers narrowly escaped terror attack in Lahore
Bangladeshi cricketers, who were on New Zealand tour, narrowly escaped the deadliest attack on Christchurch mosque. Cricketers were to visit the mosque for the Friday prayers. The terror attack which claimed 49 lives reminds the horrific incident when Sri Lankan players escaped death in Pakistan’s Lahore 10 years ago. Sri Lankan team was on its way to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore when their convoy came under terror attack on March 3, 2009. Seven people had died and seven members of the Sri Lankan team were injured in the attack.
