Kofi Annan, former United Nations chief, dies

The former UN secretary general Kofi Annan, died on Saturday at the age of 80 after a brief illness on Saturday. Kofi Annan was the seventh secretary general and served for two terms between 1997 and 2006. He was awarded the Nobel peace prize for his humanitarian work in 2001. He died in a hospital in Switzerland. Kofi currently lived in a Swiss village.
