'Bewafa' Sonam Gupta breaks into Google India's top 10 personalities list

Sonam Gupta has done it again. After ruling the social media through the year, the name made a surprise entry at No.3 in the Google India list of top 10 trending personalities, the company said on Wednesday.

The fictitious name which reportedly appeared on a torn Rs 10 currency note this year and was back on a new Rs 2,000 note after demonetisation move took the internet by storm with with the tagline "Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai (Sonam Gupta is unfaithful)".

The list of top trending personalities was led by US president-elect Donald Trump, followed by Olympic medallist PV Sindhu.

Interestingly, Sonam Gupta was even ahead of Olympic gold medalist Sakshi Malik and Bollywood actor Disha Patani.

Gymnast Deepa Karmakar too has featured in the list at No. 4.
