You might have heard about the incidents prohibiting girls from wearing jeans and tops or using cell phones in India. And at that time many of you might have wished if you were living in US such would not have been the case.
But let me tell you such incidents do happen in one of the most liberal and democratic societies like of the United States. In a recent incident, a High School in California, US has sent 20 girl students back to home for wearing off-shoulder tops.
The San Benito High School of California said the girls were wearing "revealing" clothes and they were sent back home to "keep the kids safe." However, the decision of the school didn't go down well with other students and they all protested in a bizarre way.
The fellow boy students in their protest against the "sheer sexism" came to school next day wearing the same off-shoulder tops that the girls were sent back home for.
Here are some of the tweets the protesting students posted:

Later, the school posted an official notice on its facebook page giving reasons behind the order. The notice said the dress code was to save students from any possible humuialation and the dress code rule has existed for quite some time.
