Viral: Neem tree offers free 'beer' in Delhi University’s north campus
Have you heard about neem tree secreting a white liquid on Delhi University’s north campus ?, this neem tree started trending on social media after some people started calling is neem beer tree.
People also have different name for the white fluid bleeding from the cracks of a neem tree. There are many other neem tree inside the Delhi University’s north campus but this is the only tree also called the virgin tree is now spewing alcohol which people can have free of cost. Also, a bucket has been found hung on the trees which collects the white or the so-called neem beer which is later soaked up by the beer lovers.

According to the reports, people are queuing up in front of the neem tree for liquor which is natural and comes free of cost. Apparently, Mahesh Prasad, the gardener of North Campus said the liquid from the sap smells like toddy and tastes bitter. Since it’s ‘intoxicating’, it attracts students and workers from within the campus and beyond alike, he said.
This neem tree is spewing the white liquid since last month. Centre of management of studies is trying to find out the exact reason of this occurrence, as this has never happened before.
This is not the first case as this has also been reported from Andhra Pradesh and Varanasi. The reason behind this yet unknown, experts and scientists are trying hard to find out the exact reason behind this.
