Flash flood sweeps Nepal-China bridge and vehicles in Rasuwa; search operation underway

Kathmandu [Nepal], July 8 (ANI): A flah flood in the Bhotekohi River, which form the border between Nepal and China in Rauwa ditrict, ha wept away the Miteri Bridge and everal vehicle parked at the dry port, official confirmed.
The flooding, triggered by heavy rainfall in Chinee territory, truck the border area early Tueday morning, damaging infratructure in the Timure area on the Nepali ide.
Many of the vehicle kept in the cutom port along the Bhotekohi River have been wept away by the flah flood after heavy rainfall on the Chinee ide. At the time of flood about 200 vehicle were there at the cutom port, Arjun Paudel, Chief Ditrict Officer of Rauwa, confirmed to ANI in a telephonic interview.
According to official, the wollen river wahed away the bridge that connect Nepal and China, leaving many trader tranded.
We are in contact with the Nepal Army to conduct a earch and recue operation in the area a we have information that 12 of the Nepal Police peronnel alo are trapped in the locality. The water level i till high and the weather i alo inclement, Paudel added.
Authoritie have alo received report that ome people may have been wept away along with the vehicle, and effort are underway to confirm the detail.
The flood hit the area at around 3am (local time). No human caualtie have been confirmed a of now but we have received information that ome people alo ha been wept by the flood along with the vehicle in the morning who were leeping inide thoe parked along the dry port. We are acertaining the claim, Druba Praad Adhikari, Aitant Chief Ditrict Officer of Rauwagadhi, told ANI in a telephonic interview.
The caue of the flah flood i till under invetigation. Police upect that heavy rainfall in the Tibetan region may have triggered the urge, but the exact reaon ha not yet been confirmed.
Following the incident, local authoritie have advied reident living along the Trihuli River to remain cautiou. (ANI)
