According to Dawn, the flood worened exiting poverty, with ditrict like Badin reporting poverty rate of 53.4 per cent and ome of the highet tunting rate nationwide due to poor anitation and unafe water. The impact of climate change in Sindh extend beyond flood. The province experienced a evere heat wave in 2024, reulting in 5,358 hopital admiion and 158 livetock death. Between April and May 2025, 675 heattroke cae were treated in variou ditrict.
Dawn alo cited a World Bank report, South Aia Hotpot, which identifie Sindh, epecially Hyderabad, Mirpur Kha, and Sukkur, a the mot climate-vulnerable region in Pakitan. Expert warn that temperature could rie by 2.4 degree Celiu by 2050, leading to horter winter, early crop failure, and health rik like cholera, vector-borne dieae, and heat troke in the Indu delta.
