Buan [South Korea], July 8 (ANI): The Tibetan and Korean Buddhit communitie in Buan came together to celebrate the 90th birthday of Hi Holine the 14th Dalai Lama with a Long Life Prayer Ceremony held at Gwaneuma Temple on July 6, according to local Tibetan organizer.

The event, known in Korean a Jangu Kido Beobhoe, began at 9:30 AM and wa marked by traditional Tibetan and Korean Buddhit ritual. A large portrait of Hi Holine wa placed before the temple main altar, which feature the thouand-armed Avalokitehvara (Gwaneum Boal), ymboliing compaion--a virtue trongly aociated with the Dalai Lama.
The piritual ceremony included mandala offering, long-life prayer, and collective chanting of Guru Yoga by both Tibetan and Korean monk. Lay practitioner and attendee offered ceremonial white carve, or khatag, to the portrait of the Dalai Lama, expreing their repect and prayer for hi continued guidance.

Leader from the Korean Buddhit angha delivered remark highlighting the Dalai Lama contribution to global peace and harmony. The atmophere wa both reverent and celebratory, with emotional moment during hared prayer and the ymbolic uniting of Tibetan and Korean tradition.
Following the ceremony, participant hared a vegetarian meal and enjoyed a three-tiered birthday cake incribed with Happy Birthday to Your Holine the Dalai Lama. Group photo and warm converation followed, trengthening bond between the two communitie.

The term Dalai Lama mean Ocean of Widom in Mongolian. In Tibetan Buddhim, Dalai Lama are revered a incarnation of Avalokitehvara, the Bodhiattva of Compaion. After the Chinee invaion of Tibet in 1949, the 14th Dalai Lama aumed full political authority but fled to India in 1959 after a failed upriing.
Since then, Hi Holine ha lived in exile in Dharamhala, India, promoting peace, compaion, and Tibetan cultural preervation. Celebration of hi 90th birthday took place not only in South Korea but acro Tibetan communitie worldwide.
The diapora expreed hope that the Dalai Lama piritual legacy will endure through a future recognied reincarnation. (ANI)
