Israel: Roadmap published to promote transition to renewable energies

Tel Aviv [Irael], July 8 (ANI/TPS): Irael Minitry of Energy and Infratructure ee local authoritie a a key partner in achieving national goal for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and clean tranportation. To that end, it publihed a roadmap with an emphai on promoting the tranition to utainable energy among reident and buinee.
The roadmap preent a knowledge bae for taking local government to the next level, promoting project that have an impact on all ector throughout the local authority territory.
A part of thi work, an extenive review of the exiting tool in the world ued by local authoritie wa conducted, while examining their uitability for the ituation in Irael. In addition, policy meaure were examined by which government can ait authoritie in promoting project of thi type. Around the world, local authoritie are leading the tranition to utainable energy among their reident and are uing a variety of tool to promote utainable energy, including grant and public funding fund, initiating and etablihing energy communitie, advertiing campaign, and making information acceible.
A part of the Minitry trategy for the tranition to utainable energy in local authoritie, it ha allocated approximately 250 million Shekel ($74.5 million) over the pat three year to accelerate project implementation, build capacity, and make information acceible. A a reult, there ha been a ignificant increae in the implementation of project in local authority aet, uch a replacing energy-wating equipment, intalling charging tation in public pace, intalling olar ytem in public building, and electricity torage facilitie to trengthen energy ecurity.
