In a tragic incident, 52 people killed after a bus caught fire in north-western Kazakhstan on Thursday, interior ministry said.
The heart wrenching incident took place at 10:30 local time (10:00 AM IST) at the Irgiz district of Aktobe region.
Five people, who managed to escape the flames, were being treated by the emergency medical team.
According to the local media reports, the bus was carrying Uzbek citizens, probably migrant labourers, to a construction site in Russia.
According to the emergency ministry of Kazakhstan, 55 passengers and two drivers were on board the bus when it caught fire.
"Five passengers received medical assistance. The remainders were killed," Kazakhstan Emergency Ministry said in a statement.
It was not immediately not clear that what casues the dealy flames.
