‘Acche Din’ for Pakistani media! Imran Khan lifts ‘all political censorship’ of state-run TV, radio

New Delhi:

While ‘Acche Din’ (good days) remained a big political gimmick in India, seems like the Pakistani media has started experiencing them within days of Imran Khan taking oath as their new Prime Minister. The new Information Minister Chaudhary Fawad Hussain on Tuesday announced that the Imran Khan government has “lifted all political censorship” in the state-run media outlets of Pakistan.

Hussain said that the new direction was "in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan" and promised "visible and drastic changes" in the Ministry of Information within the next three months.

"As per vision of Imran Khan, ended political censorship on PTV, clear instructions issued for a complete editorial independence on PTV and Radio Pakistan, drastic changes will be visible in Information Dept in coming 3 months Inshallah," Hussain wrote on Twitter.
