Ayesha Gulalai accuses Imran Khan for sending vulgar message to her, quits party

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Ayesha Gulalai has accused party chief Imran Khan of harassing women leaders. She claimed that Imran Khan used to send inappropriate text messages to her and to other women in the party.

Addressing a press conference, Ayesha announced her decision to resign from the party and said, "My integrity matters to me the most" and "I cannot compromise when it comes to my honour and dignity’’.

She further claimed that she first received a message from Imran in October 2013, who used to urge other women to use Blackberry cell phones, so that the messages could not be traced. "Check his Blackberry and you will know everything, she added.

Ayesha also denied that she has not quit the party over the issue that she wanted a ticket to contest the General Elections from NA-1 constituency.

She also rejected the allegations of her joining the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) but praised Nawaz Sharif for respecting women and said, ‘’No matter what the charges against him but Nawaz Sharif knows how to respect women’’.

She was elected MNA on reserved seat for women and was one of the most active member of the party.
