Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp down across the world, users in fix
Social media networking sites -- Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram -- are experiencing severe outage in India and across the world, leaving millions of users in a fix. Some users are complaining that their feeds are loading, but they are unable to post anything.
Text messaging on WhatsApp is working but, at times, voice notes, videos and photos fail to download.
Facebook users have also taken to rival social networking service Twitter to report issues with the service.
In a statement, Facebook said on Twitter: "We’re aware that some people are having trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps. We're sorry for the trouble and are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible."

Issues are being reported across the world, according to the tracking website Down Detector. Users in Europe, the US, South America and Japan were particularly affected, with thousands of users across the globe running into problems.
The problems come at the same time as a similar issue on WhatsApp. There, files appear to be running into problems sending – meaning that photos, videos and voice messages won't show up properly, according to The Independent.
This how users are reacting on Twitter:
Users are also reporting that Instagram has stopped working, with photos also failing to load on that site.
