Newly-elected South Korean president Moon Jae-In’s office on Thursday said Moon and Chinese leader Xi Jinping have agreed that denuclearising North Korea is a “common goal” between the two neighbours.

In their first phone conversation, the two leaders “agreed that denuclearising the Korean peninsula is the two countries’ common goal,” Moon’s spokesman Yoon Young-Chan told reporters.
