US President Donald Trump on Monday spoke his mind on various issues pertaining to India-Pakistan relationship, Afghanistan, terrorism. Trump said that Pakistani people have suffered from terror, but at same time Pakistan has been safe haven for terrorists.

Trump emphasised that it is time for Pakistan to demonstrate its commitment to fight terror. He added that terrorists are nothing but thugs and criminals and predators and that's right, losers.

Speaking on the issue of Afghanistan, Trump said that US will develop a deeper strategic partnership with India, but we want them to help us more in Afghanistan. He added that India makes billions of dollars with the United States in trade, want them to help us more in Afghanistan.

On the talks of troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, Trump said that US cannot repeat the mistake our leaders made in withdrawing from Iraq. He said that a hasty exit would create vacuum which ISIS and Al Qaeda would instantly fill, just as it happened before Sep 11.

Demanding Pakistan’s involvement in Afghanistan, US President said that the country has much to gain from partnering in our effort in Afghanistan, it has much to lose in continuing to harbour terrorists and criminals.

"India will be important partner in effort to ensure peace, stability, welcome its role in supporting Afghanistan. We look to Pakistan to take decisive action against militant groups based in Pakistan that are a threat to region," said R Tillerson, US Secretary of State.
