The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton on Monday gave birth to a healthy baby boy at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington in London. The newly born baby is Prince William and Kate’s third child, and the fifth-in-line to the British throne.
The baby boy was born at 1101 hrs local time, a statement from Kensington Palace read. Both the mother and child are doing well, the palace said.
The Duke of Cambridge was present during the birth of his third child, who weighs 3.82 kg.
 “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news,†the statement read.
A notice was placed on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace following the announcement of the birth of Prince William’s third child. The name of the boy is yet to be announced by the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are also proud parents to George (4) and Charlotte (2).
British Prime Minister Theresa May sent her warm wishes to William and Catherine on Twitter.
