Earthquake strikes near Antigua but causes no damage

The US Geological Survey says a magnitude-6.0 earthquake has hit parts of the eastern Caribbean, where local officials are reporting shaking but no damage.

 The US Geological Survey says a magnitude-6.0 earthquake has hit parts of the eastern Caribbean, where local officials are reporting shaking but no damage.

The quake at 7:26 am (local time) today was centered under the sea 155 kilometers northeast of St. John’s in Antigua and Barbuda.

The Caribbean Disaster Management Agency says residents in Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts, Nevis, the Virgin Islands and Saint Lucia felt the quake, but saw no damage.
